Detailed Research- arthritis diet, oil packaging and labelling, closures

As a result of my investigation, I decided to focus on olive oil packaging since it benefits people with arthritis and it's used by them regularly. My peer's feedback(Matt and Jan)helped me to focus on the bottom cap and the mechanism, they succested me to incorporate a roll-on mechanism. Talking with my tutor Mariano I realized that I had to justified a bit more the complex mechanism and also that I still have to work on the shape of my bottle. We were also talking about the different materials I could use and the best ones for this kind of bottle resulted to be dark glass, PET and aluminium.

Project 1: Accessible Packaging --- Inicial research and concept sketches

My tutor Mariano and my peers Ping and Ole suggested me to go with the concentrated juice bottle concept, since I can innovate more with this product and there are other products I can compete with. They also suggested me to think of the stability when designing the shape of the bottle. When I was listening to the other tutors, Tom and Scott, giving feedbacks I realized I had to pay special attention to the mechanism of my bottle to make it easier to use. This week I'm going to continue investigating about arthritis symptoms, the diet they need and already existing concentrated juice bottles. I'm going to work on the shape and mechanism of my bottle and the materials it can be made of.
